Hamas

The recent turn of events in Palestine have gotten me thinking. Now, more than likely, I am a naive moron who knows nothing about the region and ought not be spounting off. In the spirit of the know-it-all American, though, I'll press on with this simpleminded analysis:

Outcome number 1. Hamas fails to change its ways. The actions of Hamas now constitute acts of war. Israel completes the job of turning Palestine into a parking lot.

Outcome number 2. Hamas realizes that Palestine no longer has Fatah acting as a political dielectric between themselves and Israel, and the knowledge that their actions will infact bring the assured destruction of Palestine inspires a more moderate route.
