I'll be there most likely. Not sure about Justin, but if so, he'll let the world know. Unfortunately, I will not be live-blogging, due to a personal situation I'll detail in a moment. Hopefully, Justin will, even if he doesn't play. I may, however, toss an update up at the end of my tournament. I finished 6th last week, and hope to follow up with another good showing.

Tomorrow morning, Gretchen and I are going to be leaving for Alabama/Tennessee until next Thursday. As mentioned in my last post, my grandfather is in the hospital. Unfortunately, he has taken a turn for the worse, and we're not sure how long he'll last. Wednesday was the earliest we could get away because of commitments here (work arrangements, Girl Scouts, etc.). Thankfully, because we worked today, both G and I were able to get more time off to be with family.

Family is very important. My mother has been with my grandfather (or "Papa" as we call him) every step of the way on this. She's travelling 30 or 40 or more miles per day so that her dad gets the kind of care he wants in his terminally ill (emphysema) state. He's lived with his condition for 20 years (give or take) and has had a lot of time to prepare. I'm confident that my mom knows what he wants, since she's helped him formulate his wishes into a power of attorney.

My mom has done so much for her parents (and just about every one else in her life, myself included) and her health has suffered for it. I just want to publically thank her for being there for my Papa during all this. I'll thank her personally tomorrow. However, mom, if you're reading this (and I know you will eventually)...Thanks. I love you.

Expect me to be silent until our return. Even if I find a computer with a high-speed internet connection, I doubt I'll be up to posting. I trust my fellow RandomHumans will toss a post or two up in my absence (especially if Justin's wife has that kid!)...

Peace.
